Orca forum issue on fconnet login

Hi,

I have installed fconnect module in our site ohomayan.com  , its working however orca forum doesnt give access to a visitor logged in via fconnect.

It says,

Access denied. You must have special permissions to access this area or you are not logged in.

 

Can someone please suggest a fix please ..You may logged into above site via fconnect and see the issue.

Do you have default version of Fb?

You know shoutbox, even a non logged in visitor can use that and enter text. However for visitors logged in via fConnect are not allowed to enter anything.. [Access Denied] alert box displayed.

So clearly this issue is not limited to forum. There are other areas being affected.

This may be off the wall, but let me recommend something to you first of all.

 

DO NOT INSTALL FORUMS - BLOGS OR SHOUTBOXES

 

Let me repeat that - we have owned many exchanges,  forums traffic websites, safelists and many more with over millions of datta bases and i promise you this, you can NOT stop the bots - and never will.

 

They have taken over all the major networks and even google can't contain them.

 

Prime example, take a look at a gmail account, brand new one week - it will be spammed withing 72 hours.

 

Its all bots and if you are opening a forum, blog or anything public - kiss your ass goodbye :)

You are correct :D .. But when it such component is required - specifically mentioned as required..there is no other option than using it. Its on hands of devs to fight with bots and vic versa,,, :D

Your profiles have UNCONFIRMED status. because they can't use the forum and other features!

Ah......... The current version has many differences from your version. Upgrade you version of facebook connect

An update ......................

 

As I told earlier, user accounts connected via fConnect are in UNCONFIRMED status and without email address . For testing I edited a database record to have an email address and changed user status to Active . Then it worked fine for that account.
