The title is a definite problem, but I couldn't help but notice that you have "no thumbnail" selected on Facebook. With that selected, you will get no thumbnail. Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious, but maybe it was just an oversite (?)

I will see if I can remember to give this a try on mine and verify it all Wink

Ok, I tried this out and got the same results as far as the title goes. I don't know if there is a way to alter the meta-tags for this, but I'm guessing there is and that is part of this problem.

As for the thumbnail, I'm getting the logo for my site showing as the thumbnail. I imagine if a person were to add an actual Facebook share button to the page code itself, instead of just inserting the overall URL into a post, it might pull the correct image. It's something I haven't tried so I can't really say for sure.

If I find time I will add a share button and try again. Or maybe someone else knows about this already.

the reason why I select the No Thumbnail is because is showing my site logo two

but I update the photo

but I thing this need to be fix so can be better or profesional

I try adding the link on the share link on facebook I get the same thing

adding a addthis share buttons same problem

ufo,

what are you looking for in the way of a forum title? what you are seeing there is the subtopic of the forum, which is Recent Topics

then you see the :: Orca Forum, which requires that you edit about four files, as best i recall, last time i searched to remove the whole :: Orca Forum verbiage.

I don't know how to get it to show a thumbnail of an image in a forum post. I've tried everything I can think of and I still get nothing more than the logo showing up.

Adding it into the footer works for things like the photo page, but not the forums. I am guessing it is because the forums are .xsl, but it's only a guess.

Sorry man. Wish I could help.

I know how to remove the :: Orca Forum Tittle and I try to remove this when I update my site because the tittle go back to :: Orca Forum but is not working no more

But I don't want  when people share these topic I want to pick up the real topic tittle, the real topic description and the real photo of the topic if they add a photo I don't want when people share the topic to read the forum tittle like the one on the pohot say orca Forum or my Costum Tittle

The  only thing is picking right is the topic link if any one on facebook click that link they will be taking to that topic

Ok, below are the files that contain ":: Orca Forum" - you can change it to whatever you want.

root/modules/boonex/forum/classes/en/forum.php

root/modules/boonex/forum/js/en/BxForum.js

root/modules/boonex/forum/layout/base_en/xsl/canvas.xsl (there are 2 instances in this file)

root/modules/boonex/forum/integrations/base/langs/en.php

I didn't provide the line numbers, but just search for "Orca Forum" and you change that text.

There is at least one other location where those are referenced because I got "Orca Forum" back now too. It seems to happen when I am logged out.

I will keep looking and update this if I find more.

if you are on a server with ssh you can grep ':: Orca'

@theguypc,

you also need to edit those files in the non-compiled state as well, because should you need to recompile your orca lang files, you will overwrite your work here.

so the base_en is correct, but you also need to edit the base dir files as well.

Ok, I'm not sure that I fully understood what DosDawg meant, but I did find the last file and it seems to have fixed it.

root/modules/boonex/forum/integrations/base/langs/en.php (I've added this to my original answer now too)

I cleared the cache, recompiled languages, logged out and it was still working. Maybe this is the end of it then (?)

Thanks John Laughing

Oh, ok. Just making sure.

It would sure be nice to be able to pull that post information to Facebook though. Maybe someone will come up with a solution and share it.
