you are funny, where are you hosting, and what exactly is the problem without the mucked up graphics?

you are not able to delete the install DIR.

are you using Dolphin 7.0.8?

where did you get your fileset from?

are you logging in with correct credentials to delete a file?

can you show us the owner of the files?

I agree with dosdawg. You photos are a mess. No where in your photos is the actual ffmpeg file you are to set the permissions on is listed.

Anyhow. If that file refuses to be set to 777 then most likely the server you are hosting dolphin on is not allowing it. Guessing also that the host does not allow executables. ffmpeg is needed by dolphin for video processing.

The server you install dolphin on MUST meet the requirements of dolphin as show here. http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolTech

deano has hit it, if you are running this on a free host, then you need to contact your host or read the TOS, and more than likely, you are not allowed to run exe files or you are not allowed to run 777.

dolphin has specific server requirements, and if you are not meeting those requirements from your hosting service, dolphin is not going to run.

I won't bother wasting my time.

It's free hosting. No way it meets dolphins requirements.

So i want to run this localhost Play with it see if it is what I want.  so how to set it up on local host

win xp or fedora 16

Quote · 8 Jan 2012

you can install it on localhost, and yes it will run, if you are running wamp, you will need to tweak several settings to get it to work. otherwise, the best suggestion is to purchase one of the $4.00/month hosting accounts.

if you are just wanting to see how it works, I may be able to set up an account for you for testing purposes and eval purposes, if you are interested in that.

the only other suggestion, would be NING, as they host that on their servers.

roger that

that account deleted...is there something else social network engine i can play with.

would it work here on local host   run MySQL or something

there has been some reported success using godaddy Grid servers, but you are not going to run dolphin on their shared hosting.
