Not able to create selector field

Hello everyone.. i am trying to  create a drop down of Height and it should have been pretty straight forward.. but its throwing up errors on creation. I create a new field in profile fields.. choose "selector" as the type.. under advanced tab i write #Height and in the Default value i type 1. When i try to save it, i get an error saying, "you entered an incorrect value" with a red cross in front of the default value field.. i tried with Country and Sex, but the same issue repeated.. am i doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hello

Default value depends on the field type. If you are using 'Select' then default value should be taked from a list of values specified in 'Possible values'.

If you want to use predefined list Height then you need to do:

1. Enter values in 'System Name' and 'Caption'.

2. Select the following 'Type' - Selector, 'Possible values' - #!Height (Note. You did without (!) sign)

3. Click 'Save'. It's needed to associate predefined list with the field.

4. Edit the field again and go to Advanced tab. 'Possible Values' will be represented as a link to predefined list 'Height'. If you click the link you'll see all possible values in popup. You may select any of them and type it in 'Default value' field. For 'Height' it will be 1,2,3, etc and for Country it will be 'RU', 'US', etc.

5. Click save and it should work now.
