I disabled the 'auto-activate profiles after joining'. Still the profile, which is not approved, shows up on the homepage. Is there a way to avoid this ?

sounds like a bug to me. I see it too but I'm not using the default wall/timeline. Thought it might be the vendor, but possible that it's this problem... |

Lines can be changes because of some other changes in this file, just look for surrounding lines - they should match, all changes are in getEvents function. I tried implementing this but my lines don't match up with whats shown in the bug... I'm at 7.1.1
