No option to add RSS feeds

I am on 7.1.3 dolphin.

My problem is, I can add 1 feed via admin>Page Builder and that feed (internal or external) will show up fine in all profiles.  However, my members have no option to add their own feeds.  The "Edit" link that is supposed to show on the RSS Feed block is not there.

What I did : I added a Custom RSS block in profiles via admin>Page builder. That's it.

What am i doing wrong?

In order for members to be able to add an RSS feed, they would need to be able to enter the code for the feed.  What sort of feed do you want your members to be able to add.  The description box can be set to allow members to add code; you have to make sure it is not removed by either TinyMCE or the htmlpurifier.

AntonLV has a Profile Composer mod that will allow your members to drop in as many feeds as they like.  There may be other modules on the market that allows this  The Profile Composer does a lot more and is a really nice module and you can set it for use by membership levels as well.

Another way would be to add an input field in the profile edit for members to add an RSS feed.  Then you would need to code a php block for the profile page to pull the required code from the member's profile.  To make adding a php block easy, use Deano's Tools; free, or Deano's Block Tools; very reasonable price for what it does, or there is a free modification that will add a php block to the available blocks on the builder page.

Thank for your reply. But I'm pretty sure the ability for members to add their own feeds is native to Boonex without the need for paid mods.  It is available in the boonex demo site.  I tested it and when I go to the demo profile, the "edit" link appears over the RSS block in that profile allowing me to add a feed.

Am i wrong here?

That feature is provided by a module called Custom RSS by Boonex.

You need to make sure that module is installed. When installed a block named Custom RSS Feeds will show up in the page builder. NOTE. Do not confuse the name of that block with the one named RSS Feed. They are not the same.

Deano - you hit the nail.  I had indeed been confusing "custom rss" with "rss feed".  All works perfect now.

Thank you so much.
