New page creating

Hello

I created a new page. However, there are only blocks of HTML, RSS and OpenSocial Block. Is it possible to add new block? For example, shoutbox, comments, articles?

Best Regards

I don't believe so.

I find it strange that there's no way to add a comments block though

There is a way to add a shoutbox but it would be site wide. ( comment on one page and it will show up on the other pages also.

You can add pretty much what you like to a new page with the right knowhow and code. my site: http://www.globaldancenetwork.com has 14 dance pages that I created - 1 for each style of dance. I got the developer of my modules to customise the articles and tutorials modules so that it allows me to place a block with any content from them onto any page i want...... So, I can have an articles block pulling salsa articles onto the salsa page etc.....

It was a bit of investment... but very worthwhile. You can also use deanos block tools to copy blocks onto your new pages, and can get developers to build custome modules that pull content or create new blocks on your pages....

To see what I mean go to my site and select any page from under the dance icon.

1) Copy page blocks from one page to another. NOTE: Some blocks will not work on all pages.
Blocks are color coded. Green for blocks that most likely can be copied, and red for
blocks that most likely cannot.

NOTE: Only blocks of type PHP, HTML and RSS can be copied. This makes up only about 10% of dolphins blocks. Please do not assume all of dolphins blocks can be copied with this tool.

Well sorry, the "best" ones to use can be moved.. IMO i.e. shoutbox on all pages that are popular to the members.

It looks very interesting. Unfortunately, I do not know enough about programming and coding to do it. So I guess all I purchase a module deano?
I note that I care that he was mainly shoutbox, comments, articles, photos and blogs for example.

So, some blocks can be copied? How can this be done? I ask some tips if possible :)

You can do it by hand in phpMyAdmin is the table sys_page_compose

Thanks, I tried to change something but I did not come out. Is there maybe some little instruction? I really depend on that. For example, a sample block type: shoutbox

a) add a new HTML block

Caption Lang Key: _Shoutbox Block

b) go to table sys_page_compose and edit last inserted ID

Desc: Shoutbox

Func: PHP
Content: BxDolService::call('shoutbox', 'get_shoutbox');

Thanks, I bought this unit from Deano. He's great but not really special blocks can be transferred between the pages.
