Need help with my site re: login issue

Hi evryone,

I'm new to the Boonex site and forums and still learning (my computer skills are quite limited). I have a friend of mine who knows Dolphin and web development fairly well, but it's not a full time career for him.

He's helped me set up my site so far and things have been going well. However, we've run into a couple of snags...

First, we changed the primary domain from its .com address to .ca. Since we've done that, the login tab on the Dolphin home page doesn't work. So, we need that fixed.

Next, we're attemting to install phpbb3 forum software and integrate the two databases for one member login instead of two.

There are a number of other items I'd like to add/change t the site, and I'm looking to find someone who would be interested in assisting, plus what kind of $$ to at minimum do these two corrections.

Any help would be appreciated; you can contact me at 12voltenthusiast@gmail.com

Thanks,

P.S. I may have posted this in the wrong place... we're using Dolphin 7.03 and phpbb3.07

Is this the response a newcomer gets??? No one answers... figure it out for yourself?

Did I make a mistake in investing in Dolphin/Boonex?

Certainly not the community I looked forward to being involved with...

Reasons why no one may respond to your topic:

  • No one knows the solution to your problem/answer to your question
  • The person with the knowledge to handle your topic has not seen it
  • You did something to anger the Gods, thus forever shunning you from recieving any support

The third reason seems unlikely for you, so I'm guess it's a mixure of reasons one and two.

When you change your domain, you must also clear Dolphin's cache. If you didn't, then that means its relying on outdated cache, which is causing the problems you're currently having. To clear Dolphin's cache, empty the cache/ and cache_public/ directories. There will be a .htaccess file in the cache/ directory; do not delete it, as it is needed.

As for your development jobs, those don't belong on the forum. Unity has a jobs section, where you can go to post job listings for various tasks needed.

Regarding phpBB, there are several integrations available in the marketplace. You may want to have a look.
