Need help resolving a few errors/issues

We have a dolphin site on our windows server 2008 dedicated server. The site is function (www.buskville.com) but has the following errors/glitches:

  • page errors: Often times when navigating to a page it gives a 500 error. But when I reload that page it properly navigates to the linked page.
  • uploads: I am unable to successfully upload via the flash or regular uploads for anything (sound, video, etc).

Attached is a screenshot of the host audit. Noticed the memory is off, ffmpeg access is denied and cronjobs is not working.

How do I fix these. Thanks.

Do you have to run it on a Windows Server?  Seriously, it is best to run it on a Linux server if you can.  Other than that recommendation, I can not really offer any help on running Dolphin on a Windows Server.

Hello Geek_Girl,

Yeah, seems a linux server may have been better but we have a few sites running on the dedicated server, one is a .net site that's pretty extensive and requires the windows server.

For ffmpeg, you need to get the windows version. Dolphin is packaged with the linux version. http://www.boonex.com/ffmpeg_win.zip

php settings in your servers php.ini file need to be increased for post_max_size and upload_max_size

Cron is not the same on a windows server and dolphin most likely will not be able to detect it. If i am correct, you schedule tasks for that. But i cannot tell you how. I don't run dolphin on windows.

As pointed out, cron is not a part of Windows Server 2K8.

See this for setting up the equivalent: http://wiki.kayako.com/display/DOCS/Setting+up+a+server+cron+or+scheduled+task#Settingupaservercronorscheduledtask-SettingscheduledtaskonWindowsServer2008

What you want to do is to schedule the /periodic/cron.php script to run at say, every minute or so each day of the week.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
