My site was suspended on Hostforweb without reason

Could you please provide more information?

This is a very vague post.

Hostforweb just suspend my site without evidence.No email or anything?

You obviously have violated some Terms of Use.

I agree. You must have violated one of the terms of use.

But they also should have sent you an email.

I do not at all violated any conditions of use. Since yesterday I had do Google Adword advertising and many members are registered on my site. Otherwise to pars that I do not do other things.

running a site with 2000 members and using 50 percent of the total cpu on a shared server and you really dont know why you was suspended?

 I see this kind of response a lot and it highlights the many issues with the word 'normal'. Whats normal for one many not be for another. 

In general, it is best for the running applications if the load average is less then the number of CPUs, or more accurately the number of threads the server can process at one time.  If the server has 16 Intel 'cores' that support hyper-threading then the load average could go up to 32 without applications having to wait for CPU resources. If your load average is always less then 1 and you are spending a lot of money on a quad core server then you may be throwing money away.

The question for me, as I do not use this report tool, is this user using 49.1% of a CPU thread of 49.1% of all CPU resources.

I think the Dolphin community, and hosting providers should work on informing site owners when there site grows to the point of needing different kinds of hosting plans instead of just pulling the rug out from under them when all there work starts to pay off.

And it is long past time to rework flash/XML.php , not just because it is a slow to respond resources hog but it is also a cryptic mess. I still have not figured out how to replace the Ray Player and use the built in process for to request/authorize access to a video.

Kara, while you are looking for a new hosting plan that fits your sites needs at a reasonable cost, you may be able to stay on your current plan setup for a little longer if you change or disable the flash module(s) that is making all the requests to the XML.php file.

Anyhow Kara. They suspended you for excessive CPU usage. I thought you were on shared hosting as this is common on shared hosting. But they did it on a VPS as well. So with this hosting company, a dedicated server is the only option if you do not want that to happen again.

They mention in that post that they do not suspend accounts. They will work with you to resolve any issues.

But i still feel if your going to be making regular google advertising runs, you will need a dedicated regardless of who you host with.

The resource usage I posted are for my home server, a Dell PE2650. It was a cheap $41 server I purchased.

You know, one of the reasons servers like that are so cheep to buy second hand is they basically space heaters that can can run software. They are very power inefficient compared to what is available now.

 Traore, as you said yourself, your site was on google adverstising and was hitting high traffic rate, and that is what happened. VPS is running on dual xeons with RAID10 setup, and even that server was having issues to process your load. To get this site running, Traore, you need proper platform for it - either dedicated server or cloud VM. 

You changed 2 hosts within last week, so why not to get proper platform with us or elsewhere and stop moving?

Shared hosting is a downgrade from a VPS.  If your site was using too many resources on a VPS there is no way it's going to work with shared hosting.

 they are mentioned, i remember i dug around for them once when i was suspended, it is something like 20 percent of any resource if im not mistaken.

Funny thing is its clamd and spamd using most of the resources on that machine...

Tell them to fix those problems on there server and there wont be a problem.....  

Another issue, that people seem to miss with VPS because they get stuck in a shared hosting though box is that Apache is not your only option.

I can configure any VPS to avoid CPU and memory 'over use' so the site just slows down and if necessary times out with a message to the visitor informing them the server is busy.  This is easy to do with nginx and the various php interfaces. 

I am also betting that a php cache is not being used.

And if you want to get really fancy, off load your static stuff (except videos) to cloudflare for free. Please note, there is a right and wrong way to do this, sending all your 'ajax/xml' and video request through CF in not the right way.

There is so much room for improvement here.

Do you know what your bandwidth requirements are?

 Jay, clamd and spamd was not a root of the problem, you see a screen shot of the processes at the moment it was taken, spamd/clamd was scanning some huge mail or something, as you can see it is instant to 1 second process, not constantly running.

Before we suspend a server we disable services like exim(clamd aswell) and narrowing issue down. In that case its absolutely clear issue - amount of PHP requests to this site, as I remember there were about 300-400 concurrent connections to apache.

Could be a search engine bot stuck in a loop of some kind.  Google bots have been known to slow sites way down when indexing. 

If you say you turn off clamd and spamd it shouldn't be running in your report sent to the client.
