My Chat is not working

Hi,

My chat room has been working fine until i went to use it yesterday.

Now it just sits there in a never ending connecting mode.

When I check it in the Modules/Flash apps and the admin section of the AV chat, it does the same thing.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have RMS? when you try and connect RMS via settings is it saying not connected ?

It could just be that your RMS needs restarted and then saved via flash apps > settings

Yes I do, so do i just get my host provider to reset it?

just ask your host to restart your RMS for you and try to reconnect ... let us know if you don't have any luck!

if you have SSH access you could also ask them to give you the path and command to restart it yourself when it stops for whatever reason.

If that ever happens again, try going into your flash app settings and remove the last letter of your RMS address and save the settings. This should break the connection with the RMS server. A little message should pop up saying that it cannot connect.

Then go back and put the last letter back in your RMS address and save it again.

I used to find that breaking and re-engaging the connection with the RMS server often helped....but those problems kind of stopped once I got my own RMS server.

if this is what you are saying then Yes it will indeed work without RMS if (1) you don't have it trying to connect in settings and (2) if you just want plain text chat... no cams etc.

 what you have shown in video is that chat works as plain chat without cams being able to operate.

I can see this as in the bottom right of your chat room you do not have the option to cast cams or audio! You just have 'all rooms' section hence what I said above ...
