Multiple Admins

Hello and good morning. Is there a way to have multiple users with admin rights? I want to create a CoAdmin or CoSysOp who can make changes to the forum. If so, how would I do this?

Thanks!

you can go to "settings / Membership Levels'in your administration panel
and create a new row with the ones you'd like whether or not it

Or you could use Deano's Tools

Just to let you know we are working on a powerful moderator/sub admin module from a while and it will be released soon.

Thanks for the fast reply. I am looking into Deano's Tools but I would like to know if adding this module will interfere with any future Dolphin updates. Also, has anyone used this tool? If so, what was your experience with it? I simply want to give a friend admin rights to modify the look and feel of my Dolphin forum but dont want him necessarily having access to change the main admin password (dont want him to lock me out) and I dont want him to have access to user information (names, phone numbers, emails addresses, etc).

 Deano's Tools is a great needed mod.  If you assign your friend admin access, he will have full access as you do..

No it's not possible. Your friend will have full access to all the features of the admin panel, this is why we are developing a better solution.

reason8: yes yobilab is correct. Deanotools is a great mod but assigned admins will have full rights as you as site owner, if you want subadmins with lower permissions you need to wait for yoiblabs mod

Gotcha. But will this mod interfere with any future Dolphin updates? There are disclaimers when updating that any mods may interfere with the new update.

 It should not interfere with future updates. If it does, Deano is always available if theres issues.  Its a great free mod!!

rhimpr: yes but deanotools is not what reason want. He want create subadmins with lower permissions than full administrator so for this purpose is denotools unusable.

reason: well every external mod that you install may interfere with other external mods, if you will install only one external mod than you should be okay so far as module developer will update its mod with new dolphon versions. Yobilab seems to me like honest developer so far so shouldnt be a prob.

Another thing to do is you wait till this get implemented to dolphin installation by boonex itself but than you will have to wait like one year....

 @Freakshow

Yes, I think "Reason8" understands this about Deano's tools now, but the moderation mod is not available yet and Reason8 was asking if Deano's Tools will conflict with future updates..

If he want's to wait, either Yobilab is developing one and/or Boonex stated they will implement this function in 7.1 version.
