It is normal that the only payment gateway for dolphin is Paypal and 2checkout?
First paypal is a very complicated strict company... it's look like that it's only made for ebay user since paypal was buy from ebay
Any social dating website is BAN from paypal and you get you account suspend..
its not the first time that i add this point into the forum but i dont understand why boonex still not doing anything about that... it will only take you less than a week of programmation to included more payment gateway to your dolphin module
I hope to see soon: Payza, MoneyBooker, PaymentWall and AlloPass
I check on the market and there is not module at all also for other payment gateway...
this is ridiculus... why all script on the web always come by default with paypal gateway when paypal suspend user who use their script....( i got same issue with another script i use on another website )

Paypal is the most recognized payment processor. Not exactly sure what you mean by getting banned for using it with dolphin. I have never had that issue. caredesign.net |
if you host a GAY dating website you will have this issue... USA! USA! USA!
gay = offensive content for paypal

I am working on a payment module for recurring payments, which uses paypal and Authorize.net. I am on day10. So, if you got a guy that can do it in three hours - have him write you a module, and then sell it on the market. caredesign.net |
Now sure how your searching. But i searched for both and had no problems finding them.

If you know both the payment API system and Dolphin really good, then probably you can make it less or more fast. 3 hours of work is possible only when you already have working pieces of code and you did it before. I don't believe it's possible to learn the entire payment provider API system and do working integration in 3 hours.
Personally me (and I believe other developers) don't really like when people who don't know programming defining some work as "easy to do".

Correct. I don't like it.
And i agree. Unless you know both the Payment API and how dolphin handles payments like the back your your hand then there is no way it will get done in 3 hours. And even if they could, i would not trust it. Any developer that moves that fast is going to make mistakes and the finished product will most likely be full of bugs and lack features.
I am slow at developing. Slower than most. But i also have very high ratings on my products. When my product is finished, i have very few if any bugs or other problems. In my opinion, quality is better than quantity.

ROFLMFAOP - if you are slow, I don't know how to classify myself. There have been times when it seems like you pulled code out of thin air - like a magician.

Depends on the code.
Example. My Web Comics mod i recently release was close to 3 weeks of several sleepless days. https://www.deanbassett.com |
I have been leaning to code / programming for a while now ... I passed a lot of the online courses including JavaScript, Jquery, PHP, Python, Ruby, CSS and more with flying colors.
I have managed to do some pretty neat things with what I have learned so far and implement a few cool things at my sites ...
I love programming (what I know so far) but dang it was and still is the hardest thing I have ever learned in my life. I still hope to keep pushing myself forwards with it though! What I have managed to do and create I consider beautiful as my creations started from a though and put together into something that works using my own input.

well sorry maybe i exagerate a bit with 3 hours ;) |
I do not feel so bad then, being at 10 days. I am in a rush so my testing will be actual usage. So far, there have been no issues. I want to give it a couple more weeks before offering it to the world, though. - just to make sure I got all the bugs out. caredesign.net |
So I run a Dolphin based network with 22,000 users on it. I was fronting the cost on a dedicated server but now looking to charge for memberships. I spoke to PayPal and dating sites with adult content are not allowed. I spoke to 2CheckOut, and they allow dating sites with members that may share adult content, but they do not support videos or audio files.
So now I'm looking for a new solution. Any ideas?

authorize.net has 0 (none) restrictions from what they told me. caredesign.net |
I was using Zombaio. There only for adult sites. There free to join. I gave an option to a developer to make a mod for dolphin and gave them my Oxwall plugin to see if they can do anything with it. Also gave them the stripe plugin. Don't know if it will help them but I gave it a shot.. |
My payments were constantly being rejected by paypal. I had to reclassify my site. I had it setup as a dating site. Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
