Mod_rewrite making me creasy. please help.

Hello,

I am looking for hours and hours to find a solution at my problem but without success.

My site was working perfectly until yesterday, but sudently i am getting a error 404 at every permalink.

I check everything, I tried to restore my bacqup (FTP and SQL), used all the .htaccess that I have and try all the one i found in this forum and support.

But I has said nothing is working.

When I go to a permalink for ex: http://mypage.com/m/photos/home/ mod_rewrite take me to  http://mypage.com/photos/home without the /m/ and I get an 404 error.

I hope one of you can help me to find a solution

P.S: I also install a new dolphin in a test directory and a new database....I still have the error Yell

Did you contact your host? I am betting they changed something, did a recent update, ect. There is no reason other than hosting for this to just stop working if the .htaccess file is still in place and unchanged.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I am going to contact my host. I also think the problem could come from there (even I don't understand why since url rewriting is working (just taking /m/ away).

I will write here what they say.

I found it.

It was my host.

I post the solution here in case somebody have the same problem.

In my host configuration:

mydomain.com was changed to root directory: /

before was: /. ( with the point)

I changed it back to /. and it work !

Thanks

P.S: I had a look at yours apps, I'll be your client very soon.
