Mod_deflate and Litespeed

This may seem like a "stupid" question, but does mod_deflate do anything if you are using Litespeed web server.

I know mod_deflate is for apache, so I guess not...but who knows...

What I do know is that mod_deflate was added to my server before switching to Litespeed...and now adding or removing all those deflate lines from my .htaccess file doesn't seem to make any difference in the speed of the site.

Is there another option for litespeed?  What about this gzip?

You would only notice a difference if you were using Apache. LiteSpeed should have similar options available, but you'll have to check their documentation to find out.

Okay, thanks Magnussoft.

I will submit a ticket to litespeed and see what they say.
