Migration form 6.1.6 to 7.1.4

We have to migrate our website for Version 6.1.6 to 7.1.4.  We found many problems.  We would like to be in contact with somebody who can help us.

This is a biggy work i suggest you hire someone that will help you..

Denre offers a migration service listed in the market.  There may be others as well, that is just the one I know of.

Please keep in mind that there are (I guess there will be plenty) modules in D6 will not work with 7.1.4.  I like to upgrade my site to 7.1.4 from 7.0.9 but the vendor of my Recipes module said it won't work with 7.1.4 so I stopped. 

Do you currently place well in the search engines? If you do I wouldn't do that upgrade for any reason. I made that mistake myself. I went from being on the 1st page of Google to so far back no one can find me. The file structure is so different between those versions that it will look like a completely different site to the search engines. Just my two cents.. If you don't currently place well go for it I guess.
