Membership Levels

How can I disable the following memberships?

I havre tried to edit the properties but nothing I find can seem to disable them, I want to use my own membership levels.

Non-member,   Standard,   Promotion

I have followed directions from a few forum posts, but, they didnt work, or I could not find the information that they directed to.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You can disable promotional membership at the top of the membership levels page under the settings block. You cannot disable the other two default membership levels.

The trick is:

Disable Promotional Members as Magnussoft stated.

Edit the other 2 memberships to have No (or very few) permissions.  That way the user has to upgrade their membership to view any of your premium content.

Sorry to crash on your thread but this is the closest to my issue.

I upgraded about a month ago and my membership says advanced in writing but the photo is still the starter guy.  I can not post topics in the forum.  Is there something additional I was supposed to do to get my account to upgrade completely to advanced or was this some type of glitch?  Thanks and sorry once again.

This cannot be farther from your issue, actually. That said, are you receiving any errors when trying to submit a new topic? You may also want to contact AlexT or another administrator to make sure your account is fully functional.
