Can anyone confirm to me if they have been successful in creating new Membership Levels, that when the customer selects any membership type OTHER than Standard, and pays through checkout... that the Membership Level purchased automatically is set as the Membership Level?
WITHOUT Admin having to set the Membership Level manually for every paid membership.
All I see is, every profile is set to Standard by default, but even when the user is choosing a different Membership Level, it still shows Standard and only changes once Admin manually sets it.
Some help here would be much appreciated...

Not sure why you can't, because I know other people have complained about this over the years... Maybe you are doing something that I am not???
Are you saying SashaE that you have been successful without adding a 3rd party Mod like DosDawg suggested? If you have been able to do it without adding extra mods, can you please help me with where I am going wrong?
Regards,
Mandy

Sure... but first can you please run me through what you have done to make this successful for you? Maybe it is a simple thing that I left out... |
SashaE, can you please tell me the steps you took to have this work for you without 3rd Party mods? |
I recently tried the membership thing, and had the same thing, you have to manually upgrade each account that has upgraded, It was never automatic for me as well, and I'm also using 7.0.4 |
SashaE said it worked automatically... my experience is the same as you Ron... I have been working with Dolphin since 2008 and have not yet been able to get it to upgrade without using a 3rd party mod.
So I would like to know exactly HOW did SashaE achieve this... If SashaE would kindly tell us.

Alright, I tried a few things which seems to have solved the problem with the Membership Level upgrading on a Paid Membership... I had not set up the payments module properly... but am now having a problem with the payment not automatically processing, and also after the transaction is completed on PayPal and then redirects back to my website... it says there is No Data.
I'm gathering this is a setting problem which I have no clue what is wrong... after reading Zarcons post of How To Payments Module, I was completely confused by the end of the thread as to whether or not the 'user_id' for BOTH Payment Module>Settings & Dashboard>Cart>Settings in the Database for 'bx_pmt_user_values' should be '1'??
I have the user_id as '0' for the Modules>Payment>Settings in the database & user_id as'1' for Dashboard>Cart>Settings in the database... this is how Dolphin inserted them into the database by default... is this correct?
I'm also not sure which Data Return Path should be given to PayPal... is it the user_id '0' or '1'???
Getting more confused... please help
