 Hi, when trying to login I get the message "Error! Your username or password was incorrect. Please try again." when any member or admin attempts to login. Everything worked properly last night. I don't have any idea what could have caused this. Nobody did any work on the site last night. Cannot login to administration either. Cannot login with 3rd party logins via my LiveJoin Mod either. Checked the database via cpanel and profiles table looks normal. Can anyone help please? Thanks, Ron |
Try to clean 'cache' folder (possible some profile caches was corrupted), also, are you edited some core dolphin sources (maybe profiles.inc.php or design.inc.php?) |
I found out what happened. My partner installed a mod this morning and it apparently is not updated for 7.0.2. He sent me a message to let me know he was working on the site, but didn't copy it to my outside email. He stayed logged in for a long time and did not know that nobody else could login and get their messages that were not forwarded to outside mail, lol. The mod apparently interfered with the login
process. We successfully restored from backup to determine that. So, thanks for the help and sorry for the unnecessary request. However, it is a good lesson about the updates and some of the 7.0.0 mods not working after updating to 7.0.2. I guess asking the mod developer if they have tested on 7.0.2 before purchasing or installing a new mod would help to prevent this kind of situation, if they haven't posted that info.
