Member join wont allow certain domains for email reg

When a new member registeres and uses a non tld such as .com.cy etc. It will not recognise that this is an email and says error. Most of my members will be using such domian names and therefore i need to change this. Is this simple? Can i change something via php my admin?

i tried "test@domain.com.cy"and dolphin accepted the email. no problem at all. 

That is strange...It still doesn't work for me! Maybe i did something to the db before??? :(

I will try a different one.

Ok it works now. I pasted it on the first time and i think that was the issue.
