Match notification (spam)

I do not have a spammer on the site, and to my users are coming true dozens of messages saying: Match notification:

Hello janett,

We are glad to inform you that a profile was added or modified at http://www.areavis.com/ that matches yours.

Match profile:http://www.areavis.com/oggolzr71

Your Member ID:9

Match notification sends users who do not exist. How do they do?
How can I turn off the Match notification?

The matching system doesn't work, it's a well known spam machine.

To turn it off:

admin->settings->advanced settings->matches

 Thanks but I did it a while ago and it did not help .. e-mails "match notification" still they come.

That is the only location. Try turning the Enable matchmaking: back on, save and back off again. Only thing i can figure is dolphin thinks it's still on.

Are you running a older version of dolphin?

 Thanks for the reply. I repeated this action, and instead of 99% of what was there I entered the 0 Maybe this helps .. I have the latest 7.0.9 version of the Dolphin

You may also want to check the database table sys_profiles_match_mails and make sure that table is empty. Nothing pending.

If that does not work.

Try editing inc\classes\BxDolAlertsResponceMatch.php at about line 51 look for this.

    function _checkProfileMatch($iProfileId, $sAction)
    {
        if (!getParam('enable_match'))
            return;


Edit to look line this.

    function _checkProfileMatch($iProfileId, $sAction)
    {
        return;
        //if (!getParam('enable_match'))
        //    return;



That should perminatly disable that function.

Then make sure that table is empty again, and clear your dolphin cache.

I do not know why it did not help. Maybe i must still need to wait?

In sys_profiles_match_mails I have 4 pages something like this: a:0:{}

Yes. i believe so. That table should be emptied.

You can do it quickly by dropping and recreating the table from phpMyAdmin like so.

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `sys_profiles_match_mails`;
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `sys_profiles_match_mails` (
  `profile_id` int(10) NOT NULL,
  `profiles_match` text NOT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY (`profile_id`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8;

Pasted the command in php and now I get this message:

MySQL returned an empty result (zero records).

If the closest day will not come any match notification is to say, that worked. Thanks :)

There have been a few people in the past who have had this same problem, ghost emails that they couldn't stop no matter what. I know Dosdawg had helped someone but I don't know what he came up with.

The last person I tried to help with this same problem ended up deleting their whole site and starting over.

 Thanks for the information. There must be some way. This is frustrating .. a dozen e-mails every day "match notification" .. again today.

There is no way to start all over again .. my site has been running 3-4 years.
