Managing Group Forums & Options

Is there a way group owners can have the following options:

1) allowing users to post replies but NOT main topics ?

2) allowing users to view group forum but not post at all

3) move main topics around, for example above OR below another topic

From what I see group forums dont have very many management options and I think this is important to have!

Can anyone help me with this please ?

I created a ticket for part of this, 1 1/2 years ago.

Per usual, this seemingly simple task, has been largely ignored by repeatedly shoveling it onto a "future" to-do pile.  This is just one of many things that made me decide to put all Dolphin site projects on hold.  Boonex developers have always had the time to create all sorts of paid mods for sale, but they can never seem to find the time to fix some basic core functionality.  Now this ticket is scheduled for Dolphin 8, just like a lot of other things that we should have right now.

Then there's my ugly blue padlocks ticket:

http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/1726

That one was opened TWO years ago.  Imagine a site with 100,000 photos, and a user that has permission to view  a few hundred of those.  That user would likely have to view all 100,000 photos, or their representative blue padlock, to be able to view a few hundred photos.  A bit of quick math, shows that a user viewing a page of 30 thumbnails every five seconds, would take about five days to browse through all the pages.  This actually makes sense to someone at Boonex.  The exact same issue is present in all media types, making the viewing of media on a Dolphin website a friggin nightmare..

By the time Boonex put out a product that meets my quite reasonable technical expectations, I will be too old to remember why I wanted it in the first place.

i don't understand how the group forum is apart of 'orca forum' yet group forum is not able to be controlled like the main forum.

there is no real control in regards to group forums management.

You can bump this until hell freezes over, but Boonex is not going to fix this until Dolphin 8.
