OK...You have 2 posts-

Mail does not work and Video Messaging does not work....

Your questions are very Vague....BUT- Is your Cron jobs setup correctly?

I am not expert around here, just trying to help out a bit, but that is where I would probably start I guess.

The Dolphin mail does not use the cron job but uses alerts. This might mean that you have an issue with your alerts and/or handlers.

What version of Dolphin are you using? And is this a fresh install, or...?

If it's easier... feel free to PM me in Dutch

if not getting mails to your email inbox - check your email spam folders. If you are referring to not getting messsages within your site - that is something else. Within the site messages - like your photo are actually saved in the sys_messages database table, so check and see if messages are saved in there.

Within the site everything is going well , it's about the outside mailfunction.

Check for proper operation of your mail server. Contact host for help.

Also. Do you have the SMTP module installed. If so, do your need it? If you do not know the answer to that question then changes are you don't need it and it should not be installed, so un-install it.

Dolphin sends mail to your mail server for delivery, so if your mail server has to be working properly. Mail server is a hosting issue.

Why did you remove it?

I re-read all of the posts here, i did not see one that suggested you do that. And you shouldn't. Dolphin will not work correctly without the .htaccess file.

I think this might be something I suggested a few days ago, so he could manually run the cron.php using his browser (periodic/.htaccess).

Well, cron only handles the sending of bulk email.

Emails like the one he is talking about dolphin sends out right away. Cron is not used for this, so should be ignored for this topic. It does not even use alerts, so your incorrect there.

Problem can only be a couple of things.

1) Problem with SMTP module. Which i mentioned he check and/or uninstall.
2) Problem with the servers email server. Host would need to be contacted for that.
3) Receiving member has the profile option to receive notices turned off.
