Login button no worky ....

Has anyone figured out why the login button(s) quit working with the install of 7.1? I could have sworn there was a discussion here on it but I can't find it anywhere.

Did somebody forget to misspell memeber?

Yes, I believe so. It doesn't matter what page you are on, if you click the login button, it will redirect you back to the index page unless you are already there in which case it just reloads it.

Works ok here. Although changing the domain name the other day seemed to break the login and no amount of cache clearing would get it to work. The issue I saw was that although the background faded the form did not appear.

All mine does is reload the index page. The join button works perfectly. I would be happy to get rid of the stupid buttons. I think they are ugly as hell.

No Worky. LOL

Do you have firebug? If so right click on the button and see what the source looks like. Perhaps something broke it. Should look like this.

<input type="button" alt="showPopupLoginForm(); return false;" name="login" value="Login" class="form_input_submit bigLoginButton submit">

So if it does, then perhaps the JS code for the showPopupLoginForm() function got damaged.

I did that yesterday and it all looked just like you posted. Where's the js file at?

You got more problems than just the login button not working.  Click it a few times and then try to use the scroll bar.

I think your site is possessed.  You should hire an exorcist.

Man, I am totally befuddled. It has to be some random change I made for a mod before I updated to 7.0.1  Finding it's gonna be a real task.

I do that all the time.  It's amazing what an extra curly bracket can do to a site.  I always start off by looking at the files with the latest date stamps

Yup. I got my trusty text editor (editpadpro). It has a handy dandy file comparison utility in it. First things firt though. i need to systematically go through all my mods and check individual script changes.... Already found two that were screwed up.

When I figure out what I did, I'll post it here so Y'all can laff at me...

If I were you, I'd turn of all caching and delete the files in /cache and cache_public, then see if your site behaves the same way.  You might just have a corrupt js file in your sites cache.
