Link targets inside xtra_top_menu

In admin, you can change some link targets in the xtra_top_menu (same window/new window) but the sub menu links you cannot change. I'd like to change the links (inbox/sent/compose, ectc) to launch in a new window, but cannot see where to do it. When in chat, if someone clicks a link, it takes them out of chat, which is a pain in the butt. Another solution may be to copy the menu bar, and create one JUST for chat that opens links in a new window. Anyone have an idea how I can achieve either one of these 2 things?

you can try looking into the database and check the sys_menu_member (not sure about the name) table and edit the settings there
