Latest (7.5)

Hi all

I am a new user of dolphin and so have never done an upgrade before.

I have a limited working knowledge of coding so am very cautious about doing an upgrade. I have the confidence to do the upgrade and looking at the instruction it appears to be straight forward.

What I hope someone will be able to tell me is, will i have to reinstall all my modules and templates as part of the upgrade or will those files be left intact?

Also if anyone has any tips for doing the upgrade.

I'm not looking to do this upgrade immediately. I will wait a month or so to see if any reported problems pop up .

Any help and assistance will always be gratefully appreciated.

GD.

If you have 7.1.4 on and then you only need to download the patch.. Upload to the server and run the upgrade.. Really easy and should not break the site at all..

It appears that most of the files in the upgrade are the config.php files with a change from the module version 7.1.4 to 7.1.5.  Boonex sets the Boonex modules version in line with the release version even if there were no changes to the module.  However, if one has modified their Dolphin site with any modules that may have changed core files, or did any modification to core files, one still needs to check the file list for changes to files that one may have modified.

oooops I missed the upgrade link and looked at the full program download. Glad I wrote the post. It made me go have another look. I know I can be a bit thick but the actual link is not very obvious. Especially as I expected the link from my admin panel to take me directly to the download for the patch and not the full program. Mr boonex if your looking maybe next time you could adjust that  to make it clearer for thicko's like me.Smile Anyway no harm done.

Thanks truckingspace and geek girl for your help.
