Language file extension

Hi all,

 

I want import a language file; but what must be the extension?  .php?

You can see all languages structure in langs directory!

But I have do something, I dont know what and all the files is now in .php

 

I have try export file with .php but dont work.

Can you explain me more clearly what where and why are you want transfer them?

Bah I just want to know the file extension lang '(example: lang_fr.?).

Single quotes must be escaped.

There are quite a few.

Also if your getting a error, it would help if you post what the error is. But my guess is the quotes.

You will find that fact in the docs. http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolLang in section 4

If you use the (') sign in the language string you need to escape it by replacing it with (\'). Take a look at the example above -> 'test_key' language key.

As far as i know, accented non latin characters should not be a problem as long as the file is saved as UTF-8.

No i can't. That is a function of whatever editor your using. The editor must support UTF-8 and when you save the file, the type such as ascii, or utf-8 should be able to be selected.

I know that both EditPlus and Notepad++ support UTF-8. Most modern editors do. You will need to look through your editors settings.
