Internal Statistics Module?

Not sure if the subject has been discussed before I became a member here couple years ago, did some searching too.

What I would like to see is an internal "Awstats, Statcounter" internal module.

I know most have Awstats available in their cPanel and some don't; so they rely on outside sources, i.e. statcounter, which slows sites down for external requests.

Is is worth the time to make a BoonEx module that handles this internally?

Non of the modules in the market are updated or provide enough info for external info.

i.e. http://www.boonex.com/m/Site_stats

I think such a module would be handy.  The CMS I help with has such a module and it is often used to see where robots are coming into the site and to keep track of referral spam.  It also reports search data; searches that lead visitors to the site, direct browser hits, etc.

Isn't this the same as google analytics?

No, not at all.  And not everyone wants to sell their soul to the devil.  Google, don't be evil unless you can make a buck from it.

Yes, exactly, just like I use Quantcast, but I would like for all of it to stay home, not big brother looking at it too.
