Impossible to record with my webcam

I get some trouble with comment video record. Everytime I get an error message that " Connection error. Click ok to connect". I set the RMS server. What can be the problem?

I upgrade to the 7.0.5 but I still get the same problem. Maybe Arvixe RMS server has a matter with dolphin 7. What can I do????

I'm tiered of waiting to new release all the time and I think somebody needs to take action. We cannot sit and wait all the time for solutions.

The forum is breathing with some exceptional programmers and I'm sure they can make it go right.

I will be posting this issue as well and let you know when I get an answer.

I repeatedly send requests to Arvixe and I even talk to the technicians on the chat and I also provides them an access to my site.Whenever they tell me that it's done but I do not notice improvement.Unable to upload files and Record with the webcam.

Boonex said that the new version 7.0.5 should fix some bug and should allow register with your webcam. I have concluded that the problems tems from Boonex and Arvixe? If ever just remove this function from Dolphin.

Even if you upgrade to the latest Dolphin, video recording still does not work unfortunately.  I have the same "connection error " message after attempting to record.  Sigh... I don't think it matters which hosting service you have.  I think its a Dolphin problem.

I respect your opinion but this is the solution.  You can take it or leave it.  At least I'm enjoying video recording myself eating a HUGE size of PIZZA. I hope this helps anybody who really needs it.  They are offering 2 for 1 service right now.

My hosting company solved that problem for me. They moved my website to a server with better Dolphin settings and they set up a Cron Job for me and it handled the recording and the processing completely.

Check the server with your hosting and set up a Cron Job. I believe it can work for you as well.

ok here is what you need to have checked.

where are you getting your RMS from?

what ports are running your RMS

are those ports open on incoming to the server

does the video record, but not process

is your cron job setup correctly

does your AV work but not your video record?

 

i had a similar issue, and what happens with video record which was what was stumping me, is that it uses RMS to record, so your RMS has to be up to the task first of all. then what happens when you record it, it gets sent back to the server for processing.

so the video would record, but then get stuck in processing, it was stuck in processing because i had this nuisance of a firewall on this one machine, which i had actually thought i had disabled long ago. so when i was getting a SEGFAULT, i couldnt understand. then i tested on another instance of RMS from the server with the issue, on an RMS that was running another account that was coming from another server. so the RMS most likely was working, but the firewall was not allowing incoming connections and thus the video was not coming back for its processing.

 

i was certain of my cron job

i was certain that my RMS was configured correctly,

but was still facing this problem.

turned out it was the firewall, blocking the incoming on 5080 which is RTMP

 

so check those few things and you should be good to go.

WHAT CAN I DO? or the best way disable the video comment. how to?

I don't know if there's a link between this problem and the way that I can't listen to a sound uploaded and a video after saving stay 2 days in process and after failed.

Somebody has an idea?

The goos news is the video record work very well in boonex demo website.

I think that there's a partnership between boonex and my hoster wich is arvixe but I don't know why my problem still no answer.
