Would anyone happen to know how to change the icons on the actions block. I want to change the "fave" icon pic to the thumbs up instead of the green plus sign. so I want to replace the icon pic for fave to the icon of greeting. view pic attached. Thank you.

If you don't already have Firefox web browser installed, get it.  Second, install the firebug plugin.

You find some video tutorials on YouTube on how to use it.   With Firebug, you'll be able to inspect your web pages, and quickly find the answer to questions like this.  You'll be able to inspect all css for objects on your page, and quickly find out where the file is on your server.  It is important that you disable all caching for your site when working with Firebug.  Learning how to use Firebug, will make your life a lot easier.  With firebug, you can inspect that button, and find the path to the image in about 5 seconds.  That's a whole lot faster than asking the question in these forums, and waiting for someone to answer.

Sometimes, you won't get a direct answer,.   Anyway, find where the image is stored on your server, and upload a different one in its place, overwriting the original.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

Ya I know where the actual pic is coming from, but I want to change the pic so which file do I go into in order to redirect it to a different picture?

For example I want to change http://yoursite.com/templates/base/images/icons/action_fave.png

to http://yoursite.com/templates/base/images/icons/(something else).png

1. you can have another picture , then rename it to action_fave.png, place it on the original action_fave.png folder, so your previous image will be replaced with the new one

2. you can go to your phpmyadmin and go to table 'sys_object_action'

there will be below column, click on icon colum and see 'action_fave.png'  , just edit what you want...  ^_^

ID     Caption     Icon Ascending     Url     Script     Eval     Order     Type     bDisplayInSubMenuHeader

Yea but two buttons are using fave.png...the actual "fave" button and the post button. So I changed the actual fave button to the thumbs up pic and the post button picture got changed also. So if I change the pic both of them are effected. That is the reason I need to just change where the post button is getting its pic from.

If that is your problem , so you can do it by using your phpmyadmin.

You can go to your phpmyadmin and go to table 'sys_object_action' there will be below column,

ID     Caption     Icon Ascending     Url     Script     Eval     Order     Type     bDisplayInSubMenuHeader

click on icon colum and see 'action_fave.png'

look at the picture i have attached.

You can edit icon name on the green table..  ^__^
