Since Google deprecated their official Gmail Notifications applet, which was the main awesome instrument to reply emails in time, there may be delays now in replying.
I'm very surprised if that's a valid reason. I would say most people who are technologically minded & I include Developers in this bracket receive email on their phone. I receive not one but TWO emails from this site when someone messages me - one to say I have a message & one with the message details itself. Neither has anything to do with GMail. I'm sure nobody expects an instant reply, we don't expect Developers on call 24/7 & appreciate their time & expertize in developing modules & templates but they should support them if receiving payment for them.
One of the main problems is there are too many modules in the Market that are no longer maintained. I think what would be useful, as not all Developers post regularly in the Forums, is for Boonex to have a 'Last Seen' or 'Last Login' field where we could get an idea if the Developer is still around. Also I think it would be useful if the Market was divided in to 'Current' modules & 'Previous' or 'Outdated/Expired' modules more clearer than it is. Current relating to modules available for the current version & Outdated or Expired relating to older versions. Outdated or Expired, a Developer should have no obligation to support.
I also think what would be more beneficial to Boonex is if they had an approved Developers list. These Developers would have received good feedback on their Products, Maintain their Products regularly & ALWAYS update to the latest version plus provide satisfactory support. The field added from my idea above would also tell them if they are still regularly active. This list would prove invaluable to Boonex because these people would be the only people, as proven approved Developers, who could assist or provide feedback on Dolphin Developments for future versions.
This would make for a more unison & harmonious product/site as we all know Dolphin is the best platform but it seems as though it is losing it's way a bit.
