I broke my site, no permission to view photos.

Hello All,

I have been trying to make the default permissions to be friends only for viewing profiles. Not sure what I changed, but now I cannot see any uploaded photos, even the ones I uploaded. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Viewing profiles and viewing content should not be related.  What did you do to change the viewing permissions of profiles?

Thanks Geek_Girl, undoing my db change fixed the issue.

This is strange, photos, my own profile pic can be seen in Firefox, but cannot be seen in Chrome or Safari

Update:

Permissions to view any photos including my own is denied upon logging in. If I leave the window and return 15 to 20 minutes later, I can see my photos. This is only in Chrome and Safari. Firefox is fine.

Ok, after much searching, I think I am getting closer to a solution. It turns out only admin can see photos, and it seems to be related to cache.

If I clear Page Blocks, a normal user can see photos, after they log out then back in, they cannot see photos.

Then go into dolphins cache settings and turn them all off. Then enable one at a time and check until you find the one causing the problems.

Many sites need to have the JS cache off for the site to work properly.

Thanks for all the input. I finally just deleted my database, recreated, then re uploaded the install folder.
