Do you promote your site hevily on facebook and twitter?

Join groups on facebook that have similar interests to your site - Join the largestannd most popular sites.

get membership voucher codes module (antonLv) and issue Free "premium" membership codes and drop them into the groups on FB and also on twitter.....

Share content to FB and twitter and everywhere else....

Think of promotions you can run...... "next 200 members get Free "premium membership" or Free "premium" membership untill the end of the month etc....

Also... my biggest mistake and regret was not to include SEO in my plans.... ALWAYS work on your SEO from the very beginning of your project all the way through...

thank you a lot for your contribution and suggestion. i have joined many group on facebook and i share contents on both twitter, digg and facebook. but what i lack is the financial back up to place even advert. my advert is manual and that make it to be very slow.

I have tried to set up the premium membership, i failed, could not accomplished it. so everything at the moment is free for members.

I do not have programming experience too so i do everything the best way i know it though its working fine. but i just want a way to attract some one who could look at the site and show interest in its future.

In this case, i mean financially....

Have you looked into - crowd funding?

Type "Crowd Funding" into a search engine and research all the links. This is how it works: you join a crowd funding website and then upload a video about your project and how much you need to raise and why.

Members of the public can then donate to the fund if they like what you are doing (you can offer incentives such as FREE memberships, names on about us page, tickets to launch party etc).  You choose usually 30-90 days to run the campeighn. If you raise 100% then you get the money.

I have seen some great ideas get the funding they need. I have even seen some get %200 of what they need... but I have also seem some ideas fail. It depends how good the case you can put forward.

Have you thought about making your site into a registered business and trying to sell some shares in the company to raise some funds? Maybe 50% of the total shares at $100 per share. That would raise $5000 capitol, and some people would take a risk on $100.

Finance is a huge issue for all new sites... But I realy don't think advertising is the answer. I have paid for advertising and it has NEVER paid off.

Hope it helps,

NAthan

Yahoo's WebMaster Tools offers $50 free adverts - you need to be careful 'cause once the $50 runs out they start billing your CC - but if moniterd and tinkered with, it can do something - http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster/

On a recent client's cPanel admin page, I found a $100 credit for Google AdWords the guy didn't know he had. They are better in my opine 'cause once the credit runs out, they stop - this program showed results within 48 hours - it may be worth scanning all of your Member Info with your hosting service, just in case there's something you missed

Both google and Yahoo offer worthy free advice and tools on their webmaster tools pages

This will help you make videos - perhaps tutors or intros to your site - it's free and easy to learn http://camstudio.org/  - by publishing youtube videos you open another doorway in - I was surprised with one last week that I created for client and used my personal Google+ account to highlight - 48 hours later my Google+ of this client's video was #2 on search using his top search terms - him and I are both getting benis from it

the videos are another option for your wall at Facebook also - Facebook like to your video with link off to your site, more brownie points for search engines

for one of my personal sites, this week I started an old school approach of finding local bulletin boards at mini-marts n laundromats to pin my business cards to

hope something in this may be of help - as mentioned above, SEO is paramount from day 1 but it's never too late to focus on it

Cheers
