How to create a facebook style sidebar

I want to add a left sidebar with quick links just like in facebook how can i do that?

I have this module.  It's 55 files in 12 different folders, and probably over 1,000 lines of code.  If you think you can just find someone to simply "tell" you how to do this, then you have a lot to learn.  The $29 price tag is a bargain.  If you don't have the budget for it, then that's the end of if.  (This is an actual answer)

dude you don't have to yell... I transferd from Elgg and in Elgg you just find the file and add the menu in 100lines of code (max) i did not know that boonex is so complicated.

Nobody's yelling. It's a fact that to do something like this, you have four options:

1. Purchase the mod from the market
2. Hire someone to develop a similar mod for you
3. Develop a similar mod on your own
4. Do nothing and drop the subject

That's how it is. You won't often find people telling you how to do things which can be considered complicated. Elgg is a very different system and you'll find much of your experience there will not apply here and with this software. If you can't afford the mod in the market, you can even try saving up for it and purchasing it at a latter date when you have the necessary funds to spare.

You can't always get a sugar-coated answer.

Dude really wasn't trying to be funny. It took me a month to budget and save to get this mod. It is money well spent trust me.
