How to completely disable File upload in Events?

Hi,

I have a doubt.  I've installed the Clubs module and also the Events module. I've removed everything that I could from my website so people couldn't upload anything but photos. So no Videos, Sounds nor Files.

This is just to avoid that someone eventually sends a file to my server and tries to hack it!

I've noticed unfortunately that once we start creating a new club or Event, it allow users to insert Files, Sounds or Videos. And I don't want that!

How can I manage it?

You can do this by commenting the following code in club module.

File name:- modules/boonex/clubs/classes/BxClubsFormAdd.php

round line 430

comment this code

'allow_upload_files_to' => $aInputPrivacyUploadFiles,

after comment

/* 'allow_upload_files_to' => $aInputPrivacyUploadFiles,*/

First of all, thank you for your help.

Unfortunately, it didn't worked out! :(

Can't figure out why because the code is gone but probably there's some other code that I should also "hide/comment".

Oh, and no, it has nothing to do with files stored in Cache. :)

Ok, just sorted it out by myself right now - based on your suggestion which I thank you once again. :)

So I commented these lines:

Line 46 closing on line 78;

Line 128 closing on line 140;

Line 313 closing on line 386;

Line 425 closing on line 431 (the one suggested by MarkDog);

Line 445 closing on line 454.

And that's it. :)

No possibility to upload Files, Videos nor Sounds anymore! :D

Now it's time to "attack" the Events module.

I will post which lines are needed to disable the upload function for Files, Videos and Sounds at the same time.

So for the Events the lines are similar:

Line 45 closing on line 78;

Line 130 closing on line 142;

Line 325 closing on line 398;

Line 437 closing on line 442;

Line 450 closing on line 459.

REMEMBER: ALWAYS MAKE BACKUPS BEFORE CHANGING SOMETHING!!!
