Deanos Tools has an easy option for that.

No. You do not need to get a addon if you don't want to.

To manually change a member to admin, use phpMyAdmin. Find the members profile in the database in the Profiles table. Change the Role field for that member from 1 to 3

Then clear the dolphin cache.

It's a free module and in my opinion a must have for any Dolphin administrator

I agree, it offers a big list of features for working on different parts of your site.  It includes a free php block editor for one.  Another nice feature is logging on as the member, I have used that a lot to fix problems with members' profiles.  Yes, it is a must have for Dolphin admins.

all modules should be placed in the module folder.

You most likely have a structure in the zip file like /modules/deano/deanos_tools. You place that structure in the root. If there is only deanos_tools, you most likely have to use the FTP option to upload your module, or manually create a folder deano in the module folder and copy the deanos_tools there.

Either way, the structure will become something like root/modules/deano/deanos_tools and then you will see the module in the list of uninstalled modules.

That's not what the instructions say to do. Look at the install.txt that comes with the module.

The instructions state to upload the modules folder to root.

The modules folder included in the archive follows the default dolphin directory structure. So when uploaded to root where the existing one is will result in it merging with it. Thus the deanos_tools folder will end up in modules/deano/deanos_tools

Report any problems you find to the products support forum. http://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/Deanos-Tools-Support.htm

Missing images for the sort icons. Boonex dropped the icons when dolphin 7.1 was released, and i did not notice it. Apparently no one else bothered to report it either.

You will not see that in firefox.
