How to bypass upload Avatar & go to index on join

Does anyone know how I can make my site bypass upload avatar and go straight to index.php when joining. I really want to be able to do this.

I have a redirect from member.php to index.php already in place with deano's redirect its great thanks to Deano

I know I am doing the right thing with my site finally after a year of trying different things, approaches and basically its about supply and demand.. Made a big change to it on 31st last month. Without advertising I've had 75 people join in 9 days. So I really appreciate your helping me with my question.
