How often should the cache be cleared?

Hi forum,

Subject is self explanatory. How often should this be done and is there a way to automate it? I have Deanos tools and they are great for when I make a change. But I'm thinking automation. Any thoughts?

Generally only if you've edited something outside of Dolphin, like a template file or the database in a utility like phpMyAdmin. Dolphin takes care of any maintenance tasks automatically via the cron job, and the cache is recompiled whenever you do something on the site that affects it, like editing a menu entry or adding a page block.

if you want to disable caching in admin www.yoursite.com/administration/cache.php?mode=settings
This is useful when you are still developing the site  then enable when site is ready.
