How does the massmailer works?

Hello guys!

Can somebody explain how the massmailer works?

I have like 100 members and I want to send an email to them. When I click "Submit" button, it says "3 mails in the queue". Then I click "Submit" button again and it now says "6 mails in the queue" ...do I keep on clicking Submit button until it reaches "100th mails in the queue"?

When does it actually start sending emails to my members? Is there like a confirmation message that it did sent emails to my members?

The way massmailer was implemented is a bit sketchy and too technical for newbie like me. Please help!

Thanks,
Sam

They have to have selected "receive site notifications" in their profile. If they do not, they will not get the emails. Sounds like on 3 members have it enabled.

 Hello!

yeah "receive site notifications" is checked by default on all members. I still don't get part about that "3 emails in the queue" and it gets added everytime I clicked on Submit button. When does it actually start sending emails?

Your cron job should send them, so how ever often you have that set to run.
