many thanks SashaE for your help but please forgive me as I am new to this and was hoping to modify the Account Control sub titles through my admin area. Are you telling me the only way to alter it is from the script?

No you need open table sys_account_custom_stat_elements table via your phpmyadmin than find and delete all you needed rows

This does not make any sense to me.  Why would you have to go here to edit this?

You dug up a four month old topic just to ask that question? To answer your question, it would appear that the database is the only way to go about doing this.

Yeah because I had the same question as this.  I figured since the economy is bad I would save some forum space.  I tried going to the phpmyadmin to do it but had no success.  I am trying to delete the membership section of that account menu.

Did you clear the cache/ (except for the .htaccess file) and cache_public/ directories afterwards?

I really didn't try anything except for trying to determine what they met by deleting the fields in the database.  Do you know if there is anyway to turn off all the membership stuff?  I guess my question is what if your web site is totally free and you don't want any membership options visible?
