How To Reset Forum Number

On my site, when I was spammed, it was bombarded with 1000s of forum topics.  Now, cleaned out thanks to DEANOS tools, my site shows that I have 24981 postings.  How do I reset it to show that I only have maybe 60-70?

Did you clear out the cache and cache_public folder after cleaning it all up ?

Maybe I doing something wrong but after clearing cache, no luck - am I missing something?

My tools do not have a specific tool for removing forum posts.

The proper way to delete a forum post is from the forum.

So i am curious as to how you deleted the posts. I am guessing that because my tools does not actually have a tool to remove forum posts that you ran a database query to remove them. If so then that was the cause. Removal via a query does not update any of the counts, so is most likely the reason why the post counts are incorrect.
