How To Make Avatar A Required Step ?

I would like to make uploading an avatar during sign-up  a requirement, do you know if that's possible?

Thank you

Yes it is, I applied my change back to 7.0.9 and when the sites were upgraded, the mandatory photo on join continued to work.

[edit] The solution is in the topic below.

You said avatar but the link is talking about photos.  That confuses some.  I have both profile photos and avatars on my site and I have remove the add avatar to profile photos.  Are you wanting to make it mandatory for avatars or for profile photos?

Now, if you don't have the avatar module installed Dolphin automatically uses the first profile photo as the avatar.  It is important to know if you have the avatar module installed.  If you are not going to have it where site members can have avatars separate from a profile photo, then you need to uninstall, if it is installed, the avatar module.

 OK, to stop confusion...

Avatar or photo, I'm speaking of the "upload photo" on the join page, and well as luclonely is asking I think.

Drop avatar from conversation, profile photo.
