Homepage

Is there a way to make the homepage look different when logged in? For example, facebook.com has the default homepage which requires a user to login, but once logged in the homepage changes to their timeline page. Is there way to do this with dolphin?

You can change the permissions of who can see the blocks on the Home Page; actually for other pages as well.  You can use the page builder and click on the block name and choose visible for guest or members or both.  You can also use the Page Access Control to set it for membership levels as well.  I know this is not exactly what you are asking; but it may help give you something you wish.  When a member is logged in, you can choose where they are redirected to, their account or profile; and there are mods to make it easy to redirect to any page.  Therefore, you could set it up so that when they log in they are redirected to their timeline page.

Nicky,

I think what you are looking for is for the user to have a "Login Page" and then go to the "My Account" If that is the case you will need to have a splash page (Login Page) and then redirect that to the "My Account" page. I hope this helps.

That's basically how my login page is setup.

I have a full width column that only guests can see and everything else is set for members only.

Well to my opion you have answered your own question :-)

AndrewP has a splashpage that is maybe what you are looking for...

Otherwise there are enough splash pages on the market... Giovanni_m has nice ones.

hope this helps you in your quest.
