Help with search

The first thing to do is to install this module from the market: http://www.boonex.com/m/advanced-search-form

That module will allow you to build a proper search form.  Let's say you have on your profile field a drop-down select box for the member to pick their hair colour; red, blonde, brunette, black, orange, green.  With Dolphin's default, when you go to the search form it uses the same select box.  So if a user wants to find someone with red or blonde hair, they can not choose both.  The module will let you change that select box to checkboxes, so one can choose both red and blondes but exclude others.  Another thing that the module allows you to do is to set null values.  So if the member does not care about hair colour, they can just leave the boxes unchecked.
