Help with TMD "Islam" Template

Hi everyone!

I am trying to figure out what code to delete/keep on this template for it to work properly. Here is the link to the webpage that contains the template:

http://www.tmdhosting.com/templates/free-dolphin-templates.html

It is under version 7.1; last row and 7 down. You will see the banner picture saying Islam.

I want to get rid of the thumbnail pictures and text that are on top of the main banner image. I want to keep just four main banner images that rotate by themselves. My attempts have been fruitless, I have spent a long time trying to fix this on my own, and I am at wits end!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

JC

Did you clear the cache after making your changes? I would recommend turning off all caching while developing your site. From looking at that template, the splash banner section may need to be replaced with the another splash section for you to remove those Sections that you want to remove.

Yes I did clear my cache. If it is too confusing I would rather just keep one image for the banner....the simpler the better. I am used to WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) programs like Dreamweaver so I'm too noob to figure this out. Any suggestions?

A lot of people learn how to clear the cache in one place or the other. Most people in  here don't remind everyone there's 2 places. One is your Dolphin server n the admin section, the other is the actual browser you are using to view the site...

I don't know if they ever got it straightened out but make sure you check the template good for malware...

That section is a banner image rotator. Normally a javascript. The answer lies in the javascript settings for the image rotator. However. Without knowing the type of rotator, who manufactured it so we can locate documentation on it, then we cannot help. And no, TMD is not the developer of that banner rotator. That is a 3'rd party image rotator.

The people to contact to find out how to do it tho is quite obvious. TMD hosting which provided the template with the slider. They are the people you should be asking for help of this. Not us.

They provide no help with customizing the templates but only with the installation. I asked them first since it would be the most obvious solution. I appreciate everyone who took the time to respond to my post as it is greatly appreciated. Normally everyone is very friendly here.

Thank you,

JC

I have a replacement style.css file for you. But for this to work, any changes you may have been made would have to be reversed. I based this on the original code from the template i downloaded from TMD.

In the furture if you need help with 3'rd party templates that we do not have a copy of, you should shut off all css caching and provide a site URL. This is easier for us because we don't have to download and install a unknown template to any of our sites which could pose a risk to us. Not everyone is will to risk installing stuff from TMD knowing their past reputation.

Attached is a replacement style.css file to replace the one in templates/tmpl_tmd021_new/slideshow/style.css

This new style sheet hides the elements on the right and the bottom of the slideshow.

After replacing your copy with this one, clear your dolphin cache.
