The brilliance behind the "mayday" feature with the Kindle Fire is nothing short of brilliant. What I am wondering is why this seems to be of no interest here?
I would think having the ability to almost be one on one with your client's or possible client's would be awesome information to have. There would be no more guessing about why people don't join your site and no more guessing about why they didn't see this or look at that.
The ability to really jump into the experience with a potential client to help them do what you want them to do would be priceless to most people I would think.
"Hey thanks for pushing the instant help button now that I showed you how to join did you know you can do this on our site?" "So you could not figure out the permission based viewing OK well that's a really cool feature here let me walk you through it." "We spend so much time setting up things for you here have a look at this!" You could go on for days about what YOUR site not only can do but you can show them how to do it. To me that is a grand slam for sure. Talk about customers for life...
There are a few issue's I see one being the two diametrically different worlds of mobile and web-browsing. I am not real sure how the programming would jump back in forth in that type of window but it really starts to get complicated in my mind trying to utilize the entire site vs being shackled by the mobile App. Hmmm so if you want to brag about what the site can do you must be able to show it off...SO if they come in through the Mobile window so to speak would you not want to show what can be done by accessing the browser versus the small real estate of an IPhone. Just imagine the simple dream of wanting to access the so wonderful invention of the camera and or video features of mobile devices. It is like having a Lamborghini parked in the garage but you lost the keys...Can I call a locksmith to traverse the different platforms so I can drive this in my mind...
I only can ask it this way how many questions have been asked and gone unanswered for decades on what a person does or will not do why they are on a site? Having the very chance to find out directly from people you want to do business with is again a priceless thought...Don't you think?
In closing the very draw to a ground breaking platform can be this very feature. If Dolphin offers this very feature it becomes and or can become a proprietary part of a platform that already has most of the features needed to accomplish this enormous lift. Want to stand out and get major attention all one has to do is follow in the footsteps of the Kindle Fire...Just Google it and see the NATIONAL discussion on how helpful this truly is and how it is the future of the internet experience...
