There are some problems with the player in Chrome, like fast forward by clicking on the progress bar like on you tube. Can you PM your URL. ManOfTeal.COM a Proud UNA site, six years running strong! |
Does anyone have an idea why video's do not work when I use Chrome, all other browsers work ! the play arrow grays out ! Mike |
It works for me. http://demo.boonex.com/m/videos/view/Rainforest-A-Ranger-Explains Do you have a problem with the above video? My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
Nope works fine here, but I am not the only member with this problem, all my members have the chrome problem !! Mike |
This has been happening to me too. I know my users are getting mad when they try to seek and the video just stops and goes back to the beginning. I don't even like watching videos on my site because of this. |
Is there a fix to this? |
Youre lucky they start, mine dont..They load, and the play arrow turn gray right away ! Is there a fix to this?

I attached a .MOV to show you guys my problem using Chrome browser and video on my website, I need help for a fix please, all videos refuse to work, but only using CHROME.... Mike |
Just as a troubleshooting step, would you guys rename the existing /modules/boonex/html5av/classes/BxH5avModule.php to BxH5avModule.php.original Then upload the attached file in its place Clear all cache folders Then see if it makes any difference My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
ok I will try this... Mike |
I did what you asked me to do but videos still do not work, now when I go to admin panel and go to modules, Tools,Builders, Settings I get this..see file attached, I revert back to original file, and I still get this even after clearing the cache Mike |
There is nothing in the file I attached that would cause that behavior. Whatever is causing your problem in that screen shot, has to be self inflicted. Just to check, I even downloaded the above file and uploaded it to my test site. It behaves normally. http://houstonlively.com/m/videos/view/Wildlife My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
Sorry i cliked on report instead of reply...I wonder what caused this problem...... Just as a troubleshooting step, would you guys rename the existing /modules/boonex/html5av/classes/BxH5avModule.php to BxH5avModule.php.original Then upload the attached file in its place Clear all cache folders Then see if it makes any difference

RE: do you have any clue why my video dont work ??
No. Nor will anyone else without actually being able to look at it. I can't even be sure that you even properly uploaded and tested the file I attached. You uploaded it, said your site went nuts, reverted it, the site still went nuts, now all of a sudden it has miraculously fixed itself. I have no idea what to think. I renamed the original file, uploaded yours, cleared that cache, refreshed my browser and no luck with the video....I think this i how I had to do this easy procedure...if you want I can try it again.... Mike |
I tried it a second time....no more funny stuff in the admin, but video still not playing on the chrome .... RE: do you have any clue why my video dont work ??

here are my cache settings...(file) Mike |
here are my cache settings...(file) Not necessary to turn off all caching. Your site will perform better with some of them on. https://www.deanbassett.com |

Some time ago I changed BxH5avModule.php because according to the folks at Chrome, the embed code generated by that file didn't strictly comply with RFC 3003, and thus recent versions of chrome ignored the code entirely. Their plan was however, to loosen up the compliance requirements in subsequent versions of Chrome. It was kind of dumb. Basically they would ignore the code because essentially too much information was given... even though the excessive information wasn't incorrect. It seems like all browsers go through stages where they just go nuts. Often FF on my laptop switches windows, or closes a window, for no apparent reason. It's annoying. btw coco No one will be able to troubleshoot your problem by looking at a screen shot, My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
