There are some problems with the player in Chrome, like fast forward by clicking on the progress bar like on you tube.

Can you PM your URL.

This has been happening to me too. I know my users are getting mad when they try to seek and the video just stops and goes back to the beginning. I don't even like watching videos on my site because of this.

Just as a troubleshooting step, would you guys rename the existing /modules/boonex/html5av/classes/BxH5avModule.php

to BxH5avModule.php.original

Then upload the attached file in its place

Clear all cache folders

Then see if it makes any difference

There is nothing in the file I attached that would cause that behavior.  Whatever is causing your problem in that screen shot, has to be self inflicted.

Just to check, I even downloaded the above file and uploaded it to my test site. It behaves normally. http://houstonlively.com/m/videos/view/Wildlife

 RE:

No.  Nor will anyone else without actually being able to look at it.  I can't even be sure that you even properly uploaded and tested the file I attached.  You uploaded it, said your site went nuts, reverted it, the site still went nuts, now all of a sudden it has miraculously fixed itself.

I have no idea what to think.

The issue i see in that screen shot is a caching issue. Turn off dolphins caching. Something is acting up with it.

EDIT: Nevermind. I went to your site, and i see that problem is gone now.

So. you should setup a test account for us to use so other here with chrome can test it. It may be a specific issue with something else on your site and a incompatibility with the chrome browser.

Because videos for other peoples sites play fine with chrome and your were able to go to HL's test site and play the video he linked to, then it has to be related to something on your site.

Not necessary to turn off all caching. Your site will perform better with some of them on.

Turn on all but the last 3 options. Those last 3 are the ones that normally cause the problem. The others are normally fine.

Some time ago I changed BxH5avModule.php because according to the folks at Chrome, the embed code generated by that file didn't strictly comply with RFC 3003, and thus recent versions of chrome ignored the code entirely.  Their plan was however, to loosen up the compliance requirements in subsequent versions of Chrome.  It was kind of dumb. Basically they would ignore the code because essentially too much information was given... even though the excessive information wasn't incorrect.

It seems like all browsers go through stages where they just go nuts.  Often FF on my laptop switches windows, or closes a window, for no apparent reason. It's annoying.
