Getting Orca Fourm Error After Upgrade to 7.0.3

Hey! Does any one know how to solve this error? When i upgraded dolphin 7.0.2 to 7.0.3, and i went to the orca fourm page, i got this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined method Forum::getRecentTopicsXML() in /home/uviieco/public_html/modules/boonex/forum/index.php on line 351. I Made sure i followed the upgrade process like the instruction told me to do it... so..... any one got this problem...or know how to fix this?

Covered over a dozen times already in the last 2 days.

Step 5 in those above instructions must be done.

I made a custom template........ do i have delete those folders 2?

Yes, and you most likley will have to start over again with a copy of the UNI folder. The forums have changed. The XSL files from your old template will not work with the new forum.

Okay! I Finally Fixed it deano! Thanks for the Help! : - )

Oh. And i forgot to mention. After removal of those _en folders by following step 5 in those instructions, you need to recompile the forums.

But you have to start with the default template, so you are actually suppose to switch to the UNI template as the default in admin before you do step 5.

This sucks hardcore! Question: If i make a fresh installation.... will i be getting this same problem with forum???

Quote · 3 Oct 2010

New installation has no such problems - it is only upgrade related, problems are only occur when some of upgrade instructions are skipped.

Alex, I didn't skip any steps.  I did step 5 in the upgrade instructions.

I also deleted my 3rd party template folders in forum/layout folder.

I left only the base and uni folders.

I then switched my template to uni and compiled forum.

I've done it all three times.

However, I will try doing it all one more time.

I know the third time made it even better than the first time and second time.

Wish me luck.

You may want to try shutting off all the caching options in admin under advanced settings in other and templates.

Double check the ones under other to make sure it saved. I have been having problems with that settings saving.

Empty the cache folders and then with the options stilll off, repeat step 5 removing the en folders from the forums and try compiling again.
