Image #1

Image #2

Image #1- i made one return but it looks like 2 returns. Image #2- after posted, it's not the same as image #1. Is there a way to remove the space between lines in image #1 so they know they need to make another return? I'm starting to get some hard-to-read posts from members. Any ideas?

I would be interested in that one myself. |
It maybe that it is related to your template. Please can you reproduce it on http://www.boonex.us/forum/ ?

This happens because the CSS for the <p> tag comes from one place when you're editing the post, and somewhere else after its posted. If they don't match, you'll have this problem. Just look at the css for both cases with Firebug to see which two css files are contradicting each other. Make sure caching is turned off.
A while back, I added the following CSS to general.css of all my templates:
p { margin-bottom: 1em; }
li { margin-bottom: .5em; }
You'll probably get several different suggestions, but this one worked for me.

Strange... I can't login boonex.us with patrick81. Is it because i'm on a different ip address? I tried "Forgot Password" 2 times and I still can't log in with two different passwords. Hmmmm... something isn't right here. I hope this isn't a new bug. :S Can anyone confirm this?

Neither can I. I keep getting a wrong password error, but I know the password is correct.

Well well. I can't log into the boonex.us site either. Ah, they broke it.

I wonder if it has anything to do with that update.

Don't know. Maybe. If so it did not happen to me. I updated my site a couple of hours ago to start testing all my mods.
I have not noticed any problems yet.

Sorry, I forgot to turn off testing mode, every ip was blocked in this mode.
It was done by enabling zomgbl.spameatingmonkey.net DNSBL in admin antispam tools.

Where in the file did you add this?

How many of you adjusted your general.css file a while back to solve the same space issue? I did. Once I removed the changes, the problem was resolved. The general.css file did not get changed with the update. http://towtalk.net ... Hosted by Zarconia.net! |
I am having this problem, just looking for a way to fix it,
Can you please help me out, if you fixed it, how did you do it?
|
I'm at home on my laptop and don't have access to my 'fix' file but if I remember right, I removed the 'margin;0' attribute in 3 places that were related to the <p> tag in the general.css file. Be aware, this really isn't a proper fix as it caused a couple small issues elsewhere. It did fix the editor issues with the forum, blog and article stuff though. My biggest issue after that was I had to add the !important attribute to a couple places in the spywall.css file for my spywall mod to force it to display properly.
Since installing 7.04, I had to remove my 'adjustments' to the general.css file because the issue had apparently been addressed elsewhere in the dolphin script.

this is in the articles mod

Make sure you clear all your cache after each fix and don't forget to dump the cache in your browser as well...

ok, well I am having the same spacing issue again, I am copy and pasting and when copied the spaces are there, when I paste it they are there, then I hit submit and look at the article, and it is a pile of word, no spaces between lines.
this is what it should look like
Wire- Red Barked Tree (Pink Flag Rec)
The tenth studio album from post punk pioneers Wire hits street on January 11, this incarnation being the line up of Colin Newman, Robert Gray and Graham Lewis. A band widely known for closing out the 70's with 3 classic discs in the area of art-influenced, post-punk (1977's 'Pink Flag', 1978s 'Chairs', and 1979s '154'), Wire continue to plug away at a sound they helped cultivate, with this their 3rd disc released in the 2000s.
this is what it looks like on the site
Ok never mind, this doesn't show spacing either on copy paste, that explains why the script will not do it either

Nobody? I have the same problem. |
