Forum issue

I have the default Orca forum installed on my site. Anytime I go to anything related to the forum…view forum, manage forum…etc….there is a [L[Forum]] around every title that relates to a portion of the forum.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Try recompiling the forum's languages under the forum management page.

Not exactly sure why you posted what you did Newton…I know how to get to the forum and manage it…here is a screenshot of what I am referring to happening.

so you are saying it compiles, then reverts back to being uncompiled on the langs?

i see the compile link here, and this appears to be the default template?

Just trying to help, did not scroll across your picture to see the compile button..

When you need help you should search the forums first..

No disrespect meant Newton..I simply said that because I am new to this and trying to figure it out. I did go to tools...modules...and tick the box for Orca forum and hit Recompile Language...and it said Done in green...so I am assuming that worked...however, no matter what I try...it continously does the same thing.

Magnussoft...that did it. I am not sure why the compile languages wouldn't do it. I guess maybe by compiling directly under the forum manager forces it to compile and sets it straight. Apparently it was late and I was more tired than I thought last night because I didn't even see your answer you posted.

Thanks to all.

That is because the forums are not a full integration to dolphin. Orca used to be a separate product. As such, the forums have their own language system that needs to be compiled separately. They are also written in XSL where the rest of dolphin is in PHP.

Got it...that makes sense of why I have to compile through the forum manager. Thanks Deano!
